JBL’s classics get a smaller sibling

JBL has had success with its retro models, which are reinterpretations of classic models from the time where all JBL speakers were Made in the USA. They also took our editor-in-chief by storm, when he reviewed the JBL L82 Classic. Now, JBL is expanding the series with a little new sibling. And it’s really small.

The JBL L52 Classic is about the size of a magasine page and weighs just five kg. But it still exudes classic JBL – with a cabinet in walnut veneer and of course the familiar foam front, which is available in black, blue and (retr)orange.

The L52 Classic is a two-way bass reflex speaker with a 5.25″ midwoofer and a20 mm titanium dometweeter with waveguide. There are screw bushings on the back so that the speaker can be wall mounted.

The price for at set will be around £1000 when they arrive in the second half of October. We have already ordered a set for review.
