Let’s start with the feature that Electrolux itself emphasises as the most ground-breaking feature of this washing machine, and which has even given its name to the machine: the UltraCare washing system.
In short, the system works by mixing water and detergent together before it is sprayed onto the clothes in the drum. According to the manufacturer, this method provides a cleaner and more efficient wash with less water consumption.
We have tested the machine over a long period of time on the whole family’s laundry. We washed towels, bedding, regular clothes, delicate clothes and wool in the machine, and throughout the test period, the machine washed the clothes clean and removed all stains and odours.
Whether it’s because of UltraCare or not, we can’t judge, but the machine certainly works as intended. And is there much more to say? Oh yes, there is. There is.

The app
Like many other manufacturers, Electrolux has developed an app that works across all their appliances, household products and indoor climate products.
We have put it to the test with the washing machine in this test and a tumble dryer and our conclusion is, in short, that the app really works.
It’s easy to find and install using a QR code that is clearly and prominently displayed on the machine. (A given, you might think? Well, that’s because you didn’t buy the fridge we once tested where the QR code for the app was hidden behind the crisper drawer).
Once the app is installed on the mobile phone, it quickly finds the washing machine it needs to connect to. The connection is made by the mobile phone accessing the washing machine’s own network and then connecting the machine to the home Wi-Fi. A method that many manufacturers use because it works.
Now we can control the machine remotely, which is great if you’re the type of person who starts a wash at a time when you don’t have time to empty it again.
With the app, we can also use the programme assistant to help us choose the right programme and save it to a special list of favourites. We can switch auto-dosing on and off, so it’s possible to use specialised detergent or omit fabric softener. And of course, we can keep an eye on how the laundry is doing once the machine is running. On the mobile lock screen, the app shows how many minutes are left and, of course, it also sends a notification when the wash is over.

Environment
With this washing machine, Electrolux has clearly gone to great lengths to minimise the carbon footprint that laundry contributes to. It is quite considerable.
There’s the aforementioned water-saving function and auto-dosing, which means that most people will find that they use less detergent than before.
You can also see your energy and water consumption over time in the app and compare it back in time. Even on a quarterly basis.
Conclusion
A washing machine that meets most people’s needs and with plenty of options for personalised settings in the form of favourite programmes in the app. We also like the large capacity of 11 kilos of laundry, but most of all the machine removes all dirt, stains and odours.
