The legendary Technics SL-1200 turntable is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and Technics has created a limited edition where the turntable will be available in seven colours in a limited edition of 12,000 units.
The SL-1200 was launched in 1972 and since then over 3.5 million units have been sold.
All the new turntables have a golden tonearm and an anniversary logo with an engraved serial number. A record mat with a golden logo is also included, but otherwise the turntable is equipped with the same brushless motor as a regular Technics SL-1200MK7. It also has the same features, same chassis, same instant startup and not to mention the same sound quality as an SL-1200MK7.
The Technics SL-1200MK7L, as it’s called will be around €1,000.
