There were good news for the party-goers when Harman gave their presentation of the autmn news from JBL. News that should have been released at the canceled IFA trade fair in Berlin, but which was now presented from Harman’s new European headquarters at the port of Amsterdam.
The biggest novelty in terms of physical size and sound pressure was the JBL PartyBox 710. A movable (it has wheels) party speaker with a built-in light show that should be able to kickstart even the dullest party.
A total power of 800 W RMS is promised (a statement for which JBL must assume full responsibility). What at least is true is that there are two long stroke 8″ woofers and two rather large tweeters that should be able to withstand a lot of beating. There are projection lights with eight different RGB animations, and it can withstands a rain shower (IPX4 protection) JBL PartyBox 710 costs £699.99.
There will also be a smaller version, called the JBL PartyBox 110, which costs £299.99.
For the smaller parties, the popular bluetooth speaker JBL Flip has reached version 6. One of the news is that it now has separate tweeters in addition to the oval woofer unit. That should improve the treble reproduction compared to the full-tone units that previous versions had. JBL Flip 6 costs £129.99 and is available in nine different colors.
JBL also had news in very personal sound. Among them JBL Reflect Flow PRO, which are completely wireless training earbuds with ANC. No less than six microphones make sure to remove noise from the surroundings and ensure good speech quality. A special microphone has the sole task of removing wind noise. JBL Reflect Flow PRO is completely waterproof (IP68) and promises a full 30 hours of battery life. The price is £169.99.
